• STANDARD ROUTE INTO MANHATTAN FROM JFK: Take the AirTrain - Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) - Subway

• Follow signs to the AirTrain from whichever terminal you land in

• Board AirTrain - Jamaica stop 

• Federal Circle is the last stop before Jamaica

• Change Platforms at Jamaica 

• TWO OPTIONS: Board LIRR Train - Penn Station OR Transfer to E train - ride to local stop

• If taking LIRR  - 4 LIRR trains are usually running from Jamaica into Penn, all of these will take you to Penn 

• Babylon 

• Long Beach 

• Port Jefferson 

• Ronkonkoma

• 3 stops until Penn Station, change platform at Penn 

• Transfer to whatever subway line you need to go wherever you like 

• The A, C, E, 1, 2, and 3 go out of Penn 

• A, 1 and 2 are express (run local at night) 

• C, E, and 3 are local 

• Approximate fare price from JFK: 

• Ranging between $10.75 - 18.50

• $8 Airtrain Ticket (metrocard - OMNY not available)

• $5-$7 LIRR train ticket 

• $2.75 Subway Fare (metrocard or OMNY)

• Must purchase LIRR ticket, and Metrocard as OMNY will not work on the AirTrain and LIRR

CAB OR RIDESHARE APP FARES FROM JFK:

• Travel time: Approx 45 min - 1 hour (depending on traffic)

• Taxi’s 

• fixed rate from JFK of $70, with an added $8 for the toll (which they usually take) and a 20% tip 

• Uber/Lyft

• Do not have a fixed rate, but can have surge pricing 

• UberX ranges between $70-$100 depending on surge 

• Lyft ranges between $80-$110 depending on surge
